Mr. Ken Graun
Special Assistant to the Director
Ken Graun is the special assistant to the director and is responsible for educational outreach and coordinating publishing for Lunar Research Institute. Since 1989, he has owned a typesetting and design company that transitioned to book publishing specializing in astronomy books and stars chart for children and adults.
In the mid-eighties, he worked for the University of Arizona managing two small drug and alcohol education programs located at naval bases in Meridian, Mississippi and Dunoon, Scotland. Subsequently, he taught mathematics at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. Since Ken has written several books on astronomy, he regularly conducts talks for school children and adults.
Ken has a bachelor’s degree in applied math and physics as well as a master’s degree in counseling psychology. He served aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Nimitz as a Supply Corps officer during the Iranian hostage crisis.
